Terry Hammons

Co-Owner / Director of Operations / Coach

A highly-competitive athlete and avid fitness enthusiast his entire life, Terry believes that he has found his calling in CrossFit. Terry is a proud Pittsburgh native who lettered in several sports at Upper St. Clair High School. Most notably, he starred for the record-setting 1989 football team that is regarded by several publications as one of the twenty best teams in Pennsylvania high school football history. The first team in the State to complete a 15-0 campaign, the 1989 USC Panthers were crowned the PIAA Quad A State Champions, ranked #4 in the nation by USA Today, and recently inducted into the Western Pennsylvania H.S. Athletics Hall of Fame.

An All-State performer, Terry went on to represent Pennsylvania as a starting defensive back in the 1991 Big 33 Classic All-Star Football Game before accepting a full-scholarship offer to play at The College of William & Mary. An undersized but tenacious player, Terry was a standout receiver for the William & Mary Tribe, finishing his career as the school’s third all-time leading pass-catcher while garnering multiple Academic All-America and All-Conference honors.

Following his playing days, he managed to maintain a reasonably high level of fitness through various sports and training regimen. But it wasn’t until he discovered CrossFit that he knew he had found the training methodology that would consistently yield the most impressive and measurable results. He hasn’t looked back since. CrossFitting for nearly two years now and acquiring a Level 1 Certification, Terry brings forth the best of himself…and he promises that CFLV will bring the best out of you every single day!
